Project 53

This project proved easier as most of the shops and local subway stations use fluorescent strip lighting.  My first 3 images were taken in the Boehmerwaldplatz U-Bahn station

Canon G11, 6mm, f/2.8, 1/30, ISO 800 - Auto WB

Canon G11, 6mm, f/2.8, 1/30, ISO 800 - Daylight WB

Canon G11, 6mm, f/2.8, 1/30, ISO 800 - Fluorescent WB

Each image is identical, all that has changed is the application of different WB in post processing.  As these are RAW files that is the equivalent of shooting separate images and changing the WB in camera. I also chose to use my small compact G11 camera for these images, I find that the smaller camera is more discrete for shooting in public spaces.  The daylight WB image is far too green.  The auto WB also has a green caste, but much less.  Setting WB to fluorescent almost completely eliminates the caste.

In total I shot 5 separate images in differing lighting, in each case the WB goes from Auto to Daylight to Fluorescent from left to right.

In all cases there is a distinct green colouration to the central daylight balanced image.
